Security Door & Hardware Co. and Security Builders Supply Co. have joined the CIH family!
Indianapolis, IN, April 17, 2020.
CIH (“Central Indiana Hardware, Inc.”), a leading specialty distributor of Division 8 commercial door systems, Division 10 accessories and operable partitions, and Division 28 access systems integration, acquired two divisions of Bradley, IL-based Security Lumber: Security Door & Hardware Co. of Urbana, IL and Security Builders Supply Co. of Oswego, IL. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Established in 1946, Security Lumber grew to become the premier supplier to leading contractors in the Chicagoland area. In 1967, Security Lumber opened its commercial hardware and door division eventually expanding to four locations throughout IL.
Security Door & Hardware (SDH) and Security Builders Supply (SBS) provide full Division 8 commercial door and hardware products through four IL locations. SDH’s Urbana and Springfield, IL offices are led by Greg Rolnicki, VP and General Manager, where he has grown the business through great customer service and teamwork for the last 26 years. SBS’s Oswego and Rockford, IL offices are led by Tim Johnson, VP and General Manager, where he has grown and managed the business for the last 30 years and has been with the company since 1981.
The companies will continue to operate under the Security Door & Hardware and Security Builders Supply names as divisions of CIH. Both Greg and Tim will continue in their current positions and will report directly to CIH President & CEO Ron Couch.

This acquisition expands the CIH Team to over 200 staff members, in seven offices, across three Midwestern states providing greater geographic reach. CIH’s focus has always been and will continue to be providing exceptional customer service.
